MAKEUP FOR MATURE SKIN - GRACE'S PRO TIP FOR AGE SPOTS – Studio10 Makeup

Age spots or liver spots are small, flat dark areas on the skin, which appear commonly with age and sun exposure, and are typically found on the face, hands, shoulders and arms.

While sunscreen is undoubtedly the best way to prevent age spots (I use factor 50 every day regardless of the weather) you can cover existing age spots by using the right makeup and clever techniques – resulting in a gorgeous flawless finish.

  1. Use a primer to ensure your makeup goes on smoothly and doesn’t sit in any fine lines or wrinkles
  2. Use your ring finger to gently dab on a small amount of peach coloured concealer to cancel out the age spots
  3. Use a hydrating cream foundation that will give full coverage without being too cakey or heavy. Don’t forget to blend around your jawline and neck to prevent obvious lines.

Top tip!  Always apply a hydrating moisturiser first to help your makeup go on smoothly. Ideally find products that contain SPF to help with the prevention of age spots.
